Emergencies Only
|
 |
Please
telephone during office hours (9am to 5:30pm) where possible to
arrange your appointment. The practice nurses hold clinics
on most weekdays and appointments may be made with her for dietary
advice, dressing changes, stitch removal, nail clipping etc.
How
to contact a Vet for emergencies when the surgery is closed:
One of the vets is always available "on call". Simply telephone
the usual surgery number – 01722 333291 – and your call will
be automatically diverted to a night/weekend telephone operator.
She will contact the vet wherever she is using a "bleeper" and the
vet will telephone you back as soon as possible. Urgent cases will
always be seen on the same day.

Home Visits:
It is not always possible for a vet to come and see your pet; in fact
it is better to take your pet to the surgery, where there is specialised
equipment to deal with emergencies. If in exceptional circumstances you
require a home visit, please call in plenty of time to allow the vet to
plan her day. If transport is a problem, we have a list of taxi firms
willing to transport pets.
Payment
of veterinary fees:
The practice displays a list of current charges in reception. We request
that all fees are paid at the time of treatment.
With the
increased sophistication of veterinary services and treatments now available
for our pets there has been a corresponding increase in veterinary fees.
Pet Insurance is one way that you can
afford the best treatment available for your pet.
We are always
happy to prepare an estimate of costs for procedures but would recommend
that clients ask for this to be updated on a daily basis where patients
are admitted for extensive investigations or treatments.
Endell Veterinary
Group also works with the PDSA through the PETAID scheme. Under this scheme,
clients who live in areas with postal codes SP1 and SP2 and who are in
receipt of certain listed benefits may apply to the PDSA for assistance
with their veterinary fees. To use the PETAID scheme the pet must be registered
with the PDSA before treatment is needed. Forms for this are available
at reception.

All
fees should be paid at the time of treatment please.
We are happy to accept payment by cash, cheque, credit or debit card.
