Routine Health Care
What is meant by routine health care?
These are the things we can do to minimise the risk of our pets contracting diseases or suffering from severe illnesses and include a yearly check up.
Even if you keep a close eye on your pet's health it's important you book an yearly appointment for a thorough check-up as our professional staff can help identify any potential health problems and work with you to address them before they become too serious. Most pets will receive their annual vaccination at this time.
Pets with long term or chronic illnesses will need more regular check-ups; we recommend these are at least every 6 months.
In addition to reviewing any health concerns these check-ups enable your pet to get used to visiting the practice when they're well. If they only visit when they're hurt or ill they may start associating their trips with bad or stressful experiences. It's a good idea to pop into the vet practice every so often, even if you don't have an appointment. The receptionists and nurses will always appreciate a cuddle and it will create a positive memory for your furry friend.
Please give us a call to book in for a check-up.
