Farm Animals Department - Meet our Vets...

Keith Cutler BSc BVSc MRCVS

Trained at the Bristol University Veterinary School from which he qualified in 1990 having already been awarded a BSc in Anatomical Sciences in 1987. He started working in the farm animal division of Endell Veterinary Group in July 1990. His main interests lie in the areas of cattle fertility and reproduction, bovine lameness, suckler herd production and the management and welfare of large exotic animals.

He is a member of the British Veterinary Association, the Southern Counties Veterinary Association (of which he is a past President), the British Cattle Veterinary Association, the British Veterinary Deer Society, the British Veterinary Camelid Society and the British Veterinary Zoological Society. He is also Honorary Veterinary Surgeon for the Wessex branch of the British Deer Society and he lectures regularly on bovine topics at three of the six UK veterinary schools and at scientific meetings.

Stephen Shiles BVSc MRCVS
Stephen comes from North Wiltshire, where his parents run a beef and arable unit. He graduated from Bristol University in 2005, having been awarded the Leo farm elective prize. During his time at Bristol, Steve has developed an interest in the control of mastitis in dairy cattle, enzootic pneumonia in calves and minimising periparturient losses in sheep.
Janneke Saris DVM MRCVS
Since Dutch vets apparently really enjoy working in the United Kingdom, Janneke, who is from The Netherlands, has joined our team. Janneke graduated in July 2006 from Ghent University in Belgium with a specialisation in farm animals. She left the Belgian Blue behind and came over to Salisbury in August 2006. Janneke is interested in herd health and fertility and would like to learn more about mastitis and sheep.
Amy Ensell BVSc MRCVS
Amy is a local girl having lived in Nomansland, just south of Salisbury, all her life. She graduated in July 2006 from Bristol University. As a student, she saw most of her practice with Endells and developed a great interest in farm work. Amy is particularly interested in cattle medicine and flock health planning.
