Legislation requires that we only provide medicines for animals of which we have direct knowledge.

Our medicine store is staffed by Daniel who monitors stock control and orders medicines as required. He is not able to prescribe medicines but must refer to a vet if anyone requests a product. As the vets are out on farm, he may not be able to contact them quickly, so to avoid delay in collection it is advisable to telephone the office in advance of your visit. In order to ensure that we can meet the needs of our clients, we carry a large stock of medicines in our store and each car carries a comprehensive stock. We carry out a complete stock-take once a week and a visual check daily. We have a daily delivery on weekdays from one wholesaler and a weekly delivery from another.

David Kerr is responsible for the selection and purchase of the medicines and he negotiates with manufacturers to achieve the best possible savings, which are then reflected in the cost to our clients. Many products are now at a greatly reduced price when compared with a year ago.
